Memorial Day Parades and Observances in the Berkshires

THE BERKSHIRES — Below is a listing of Memorial Day for activities and events in the Berkshire County. If you have an event that is not listed here please e-mail information to taylors@macaronikid.com. *Unconfirmed Listings for 2024.

Clarksburg Town Hall, River Road, Clarksburg, Sunday, 26th, 10 a.m.: A Memorial Day ceremony will begin at Town Hall at 10 a.m. with coffee and refreshments afterward.

Downtown Cheshire Parade, Cheshire, Monday 27th, 1 p.m. Parade begins on School Street. Children on bicycles will meet at the post office and join the parade on Railroad Street. 

Dalton Parade, Main Street, Dalton, Monday 27th, 9:00 a.m.: Memorial Day Parade begins at the church and follows Main Street to the Mound of the Unknown Dead at the Main Street Cemetery for ceremony.

Egremont Fire Station, 36 Main St., South Egremont, Monday 27th, 12:00 p.m.: Memorial Day Parade begins at the fire station and marches to the village green for a short ceremony.

Great Barrington Parade & Ceremony, Great Barrington Town Hall, Monday 27th, 11 a.m.: Parade will start from Dresser Avenue and proceed to the intersection of Bridge Street. A ceremony in front of Town Hall after the parade, along with a community picnic at 1 p.m. at the Great Barrington VFW, located at 800 South Main Street.

Parade & Ceremony, Lanesborough, Sunday, 26th, 1:30 p.m.: Parade will start at 1:30 p.m. with ceremony immediately following at Center Cemetery.

Main Street, Lee, Monday 27th, 10 a.m.: Memorial Day Parade, will travel down Main Street and end at the Fairmont Cemetery where a ceremony will commence.

Lenox Dale Parade, Lenox Dale, Monday 27th, at 8 a.m.: Parade starts at Veterans Memorial Park on Walker Street, proceeding to St. Vincent dePaul Church for a Mass for deceased and living veterans. The parade will continue through the village ending at Veterans Memorial Park for concluding services.

American Legions, 573 Mohawk Trail, North Adams, Monday 27th, 9:30 a.m.: Parade begins at the Legion and heads to the Veterans Memorial where a ceremony will take place. Participants are asked to be at the Legion at 9 a.m.

Pittsfield Town Hall, Fenn Street, Pittsfield, Monday 27th, 9 a.m.: The parade will begin on Fenn Street, to North and Wahconah streets, ending at the Pittsfield Cemetery for a 10 a.m. ceremony. In case of inclement weather, ceremony will be held at Morningside Community School, 100 Burbank St.

Sandisfield, Old Town Hall, Sunday, 26th, 10 a.m.: Parade begins at Old Town Hall at 10AM. BBQ to follow immediately after at The American Legion.

West Stockbridge, Town Hall, Monday 27th, 8:00 a.m.: 8-9 a.m: Bike & Scooter Decoration in front of the town hall, 9 a.m: Memorial Day Ceremony at the town hall, ending with a flag waving send-off for our veterans in attendance. 9:45 a.m: Memorial Day Parade beginning at the town hall and ending in front of the Congregational church.


*Adams Memorial Day Parade, Memorial Park East, Columbia St., Adams, Monday 27th, 10 a.m.: The parade will kick off from the corner of Valley and Columbia Streets. The parade proceeds to Hoosac, Summer, Center, and Park streets, ending at the Maple Street Cemetery for the ceremony.

*North Becket Cemetery, Route 8, Becket, Monday 27th, Line up at 10:00 a.m.: Memorial Day Parade, parade will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the cemetery.

*Ceremony, Housatonic, Monday 27th, 10 a.m.: Honorary ceremonies at St. Bridget's Cemetery in Housatonic.

*Church on the Hill, Lenox, Monday 27th, noon: Participants will meet at the Church on the Hill at 11:45 a.m..  The parade will march up Main Street with a brief service at the town memorial and then off to St. Ann’s cemetery.

*New Marlborough Memorial Day Parade, Monday 27th: kicks off from the New Marlborough Central School at 8:50 AM, ending at the New Marlborough Library.  The Memorial Day Ceremony at the Library begins at 9:00 AM.

*Monterey Park, corner of Blue Hill and Main roads, Monterey, Monday 27th, 1 p.m.: Parade begins at Veterans Memorial Park and concludes with refreshments.

*Richmond Fire Station, 35 Firehouse Lane, Richmond, Monday 27th, 8 a.m.: Memorial Day Parade will begin at the firehouse ending at Richmond Consolidated School for a ceremony.

*Sheffield Fire Department, 65 Depot St, Sheffield, Monday 27th, 8 a.m.: Memorial Day Parade will begin at Clayton Cemetery and end at Trinity United Methodist Church.

*St. Josephs Cemetery, Church Street, Stockbridge, Monday 27th, 11 a.m.: Ceremonies will be held at the cemetery at 11 a.m., followed by a parade at noon that begins at the Stockbridge Town Hall where a ceremony will commence; a potluck Community Picnic will follow at the town green.

*Weston Field, Spring & Latham Street, Williamstown, Monday 27th, 10 a .m.: Parade will begin at Spring and Latham street, march up Spring Street and end at Field Park for a ceremony.
