Let's talk setbacks. Week 2 could have been seen as a setback for me. I had difficulty with sticking to my meal plan because I didn't make time for meal prep. I missed a workout because I just couldn't find it in my schedule one day. And I didn't lose any weight, NOT A POUND.
For some, this might have thrown them into a downward spiral. But I know from past experience, that this is usually in the second week of a program that I lose inches not pounds. And I know that is happening.
In week three thus far I have made a better plan for my meal prep and have been much better about eating better. In week three, I caught up on a lot of work and organized my brain (very important for my wellness), and I made time for a friend and me to go enjoy a little of the area's pre-holiday festivities. And this week is when I am thankful for Aimee Marshall and Berkshire Fitness and Wellness, and for the fact that no matter what setbacks I have, I am much further ahead in my health and wellness goals than where I was two and half weeks ago.
So here's to almost making it through another week ... for finding a way to navigate the pitfalls I might encounter during the Thanksgiving holiday, and for continuing to strive to reach my weight and fitness goals and to forgive myself when things don't go the way I planned.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
