Pittsfield, Mass – The 13th annual 10x10 Upstreet Arts Festival encourages everyone to get outside and enjoy all there is to love about Pittsfield! Presented by the City of Pittsfield and sponsored by the Mill Town Foundation, the festival features a live array of music, art, theatre, dance, play, outdoor fun, fireworks and more from February 15-25, 2024 in the heart of the Berkshires.
Featured events include: the 10x10 New Play Festival at Barrington Stage Company; Downtown Pittsfield Restaurant Week, Berkshire Museum's Ten Days of Play; new family fun day at Clapp Park, Berkshire United Way's 10x The Fun at Zion Lutheran Church, curling with Curl Berkshires, nature walks with Berkshire Natural Resources Council and invasive hardy kiwi removals with Berkshire Environmental Action Team.
The free 10 Minutes of Fireworks are back, returning to the Common on First Street on Saturday, February 24th at 6pm (dusk). NOTE: The fireworks will be launched from the Common so the viewing area will be in the First Street Parking Lot, across from the Common. No one will be allowed inside the Common when the fireworks are being launched.
Berkshire United Way will host 10x the Fun from 3:30-5:30pm Saturday, February 24 at the Zion Lutheran Church. This free family festival will offer activities, including crafts with TG’s Clubhouse, a photo booth and paint and sip with Downtown Pittsfield Inc., and performances.
New this year is the 1st Annual Winter Festival at Clapp Park on Monday, Feb. 19th. Activities will be led by Berkshire Environmental Action Team (BEAT), Berkshire Natural Resources Council (BNRC) and Mass Audubon and feature Cardboard sled racing, snowshoeing, wildlife tracking, and more. There will be a campfire to stay warm and soups by Otto’s and s’mores sponsored by Indulgence Salon!
Curl Berkshires will host an event at the Pittsfield Boys and Girls Club and the Lichtenstein Center for the Arts will feature the 10x10 Out of the Studio exhibit. Jacob’s Pillow returns this year, hosting a CONTRA-TIEMPO workshop and performance that will guide participants in Afro-Latin social dance at the Zion Lutheran Church. Families and participants of all ages are invited to come dance, watch, and learn.
Berkshire Theatre Group presents Magic Tree House: Winter of the Ice Wizard at the Colonial Theatre and Hancock Shaker Village is bringing back The Big Chill to add to the 10x10 festivities.
