Berkshire County Grab & Go Meals for Kids

During school closures due to the coronavirus, Berkshire County School Districts are ensuring that no student is without nutritious meals by providing Grab & Go Meal Services. Find your school district and information below.

Adams-Cheshire Regional School District

Parents or caregivers can pick up meals for any child enrolled in the Adams-Cheshire Regional School District.  

Instructions:

  • Pick up hours will be from 9-11 a.m. at Hoosac Valley Elementary School (cafeteria), 125 Savoy Road, Adams
  • Enter and exit at the back door near the playground.
  • Children's name will have to be given and checked off
  • Children can continue to come in themselves, no questions asked, to get their own meals.    

If anybody is experiencing hardship with getting these meals, call the superintendent’s office at (413) 743-2939 for assistance.


Berkshire Hills Regional School District

BHRSD will be offering Grab & Go meals (lunches and next day breakfasts) from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.  This will be pick up/drive-thru.  Stay in you cars. Please email the district at meals@bhrsd.org to let us know how many you want. Meals will be available at the following sites:

  • Monument Valley Regional Middle School (in the main loop), 313 Monument Valley Road
  • Great Barrington Fire Station (in the back parking area), 37 State Road
  • Housie Dome (front entrance), Main Street, Housatonic
  • Stockbridge Town Hall (back entrance), Main Street, Stockbridge


Central Berkshire Regional School District

Grab-and-Go Bags will be available Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with lunch and breakfast. A total of 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches will be sent out each week. Families will drive up and the bags will be brought to their cars. Do not get out of your vehicle. Locations are as follows:

  • Nessacus Regional Middle School Cafeteria entrance (there will be signs), 35 Fox Road
  • Kittredge Elementary School front lobby, 80 Maple Street
  • Becket Washington School Cafeteria (there will be a sign), 12 Maple Street

Families who access the Backpack Program will be able to pick these up on Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. *NOTE: Pick-up locations will be changing to align to the locations where the Grab-and-Go Bags will be provided.

  • Becket Fire House will move to the Becket Washington Elementary School
  • Kittredge Fire House will move to the Kittredge Elementary School
  • Dalton Congregational Church will remain the pickup for families who attend school in Dalton


Lee Public Schools

Beginning Tuesday, March 24,  weekly packages of meals will be available to residents in Lee and Lee Public Schools' students from Tyringham. These will consist of five days worth of breakfasts and lunches. At this time, the school district is planning to deliver packages to residents. Any resident in

need of a meal should follow the instructions below:

  • Before noon each Friday, call the Lee Public Schools Meal Delivery Hotline at (413) 243-0336, ext 3333 and leave a voicemail or email lunches@leepublicschools.net
  • Leave YOUR NAME, STREET ADDRESS, TELEPHONE NUMBER, NUMBER OF MEALS (limit one per person, per day), AGES OF CHILDREN IN THE HOME via phone or email.
  • Meals will be delivered beginning around 11:30 am each day until further notice.

North Adams Public School

Meals will be provided, at a first-come, first-served basis, at the sites and times below through April 3. All children must be present to receive one breakfast and one lunch per day.

  • Brayton Elementary School, 20 Barbour Street: March 16-April 3, Breakfast and Lunch, 11 a.m. to Noon.
  • Colegrove Park Elementary School, 23 Church Street: March 16-April 3, Breakfast and Lunch, 11 a.m. to Noon.
  • Mohawk Forest Apartments, Mohawk Forest Boulevard: March 16-April 3, Breakfast and Lunch, 11 a.m. to Noon.
  • Greylock Valley Apartments, Angeli Street: March 16-April 3, Breakfast and Lunch, 11 a.m. to Noon.


Pittsfield Public Schools

The Pittsfield Public Schools will provide once-a-day Grab & Go breakfast and lunch packages to children in Pittsfield.

  • Packages will be available between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.  weekdays through Friday, March 27 at Morningside Community School (100 Burbank Street, Pittsfield); Conte Community School (200 West Union Street, Pittsfield); Dower Square Housing Village (253 Wahconah Street, Pittsfield); The Berkshire Family YMCA (292 North Street, Pittsfield); Gladys Brigham Center (165 East Street, Pittsfield, MA); Boys & Girls Club of the Berkshires (16 Melville Street); The Brattlebrook Apartments (April Lane, Pittsfield)


Southern Berkshire Regional School District

Grab & Go Meals are free to all district families with children 18 and under. For more information email meals@sbrsd.org.

  • Meal pick up is 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday through Friday, at Undermountain Elementary School Entrance, 245 North Undermountain Road, Sheffield


Mount Greylock Regional School District

Mount Greylock Regional School District will be offering access to Grab & Go lunches Monday through Friday through April 3. 

  • Meals will be available for pick-up at the Lanesborough Elementary School and Williamstown Elementary School main entrances between 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. each day. 
  • Call or email the Food Service department the day before pick up at (413) 458-9582, ext. 119 or lunches@mgrhs.org
  • Leave a message that includes the number of lunches you need and which school will be your pick-up location: Lanesborough Elementary School or Williamstown Elementary School 
  • Identify the student name(s) for whom you are picking up meals.
  • Indicate whether you will be accessing this meal service over the remaining days.
