"Neither of us were raised in religious households. We were looking for a great school and a great community when we found Saint Agnes Academy. Our family and our daughter were greeted with open arms. We immediately felt that the community, the parents, the teachers, the administration, were each investing heavily in our daughter. We've had several friends send their children here and we knew the academics were strong and boy were we right. I think our 3-year-old is on a pace to learn to read a year earlier than I learned; the attention of the academic team is just so focused with these class sizes and everyone cares so much. She has close friends in her class, she is learning to play well, to share. She surprises us with Spanish knowledge, space knowledge; knowledge about other foods and cultures, she's so proud of her art and her projects. But I would say it was actually the parents that were the most surprising component. We immediately felt all these parents investing in our family. From PTO events like Science Night, the Halloween Dance — even just seeing each other in swimming, we've all benefited as a family becoming integrated with these other families. That's why I just had to give back and help coach the First Lego Robotics team 5 years before my daughter will be old enough to appreciate the club; everyone else was giving to my kid, I felt compelled to give back. Thank you, Saint Agnes Academy, for the focus you put into these children and this community!"

"Saint Agnes Academy is exactly where our child needs to be. SAA is an incredibly welcoming, safe, and loving environment that allows kids to be themselves. SAA encourages children to become their authentic selves while learning how they can use their unique talents and skills to support the world and community at large. Whenever I walk the hallways, see the children in their classrooms or on the playground, witness them helping each other, or playing I am reminded in gratitude that SAA is exactly where our daughter needs to be.

As a first-time parent, I didn’t know what to do when it came to kindergarten for my son. Truth be told I was nervous about the school he was going to have to go to. I worked with someone whose child went to a Catholic school and I saw how great he was doing and how happy she was. Given where we lived I did some research and found St. Agnes. We are not church-going people but not against it. I’m pretty sure that’s my son's favorite part of school. He loves Father Chris! The day we did a tour we instantly fell in love. We were impressed with the smaller class sizes and the fact that the principal new each child as they walked by — it was so heartwarming. We immediately enrolled our son! They have free bussing from Pittsfield which is great. Before- and after-school, plus enrichment programs have been so amazing. Going through quarantine anywhere else I don’t think it’d be the same. From day one St. Agnes sent home two weeks of schoolwork and was immediately working with us and the children from home. His teacher has been in constant contact, we FaceTime read and any questions, she is there. Plus, Principal Makdisi has sent out emails and calls to check on us. We are all still together. I couldn’t imagine going through this anywhere else! I know some people think private school, I can’t afford that. It’s less money than the daycare we were paying. And the benefits of having another family, because that is what St. Agnes is, is priceless St.Agnes is family, it is home!

St. Agnes prepared them well for high school, not only academically, but also spiritually, emotionally, and socially. Within the secure, caring environment fostered by the St. Agnes administration and teachers, students learn responsibility for their own development and for the well-being of others throughout our local and global communities.
