A new look for local Berkshire County Farmers Markets

Like everything this spring and summer, local Farmers Markets will look a little different, but that doesn't mean you can't get fresh local produce and more, and still support local farmers in the process. Many markets are offering online ordering options and weekly pickup, while others are open with strict guidelines for visiting the markets. See the information we have gathered below:

Berkshire Farmers’ Market, Berkshire Mall, Massachusetts 8 & Old State Road , LanesboroughMay 9 - Nov., Saturdays ONLY, 8 a.m. – 2 p.m.: Featuring flowers, plants, baked good, tastings, local farmers and more. Please adhere to the state's social distancing and health guidelines. facebook.com.

Downtown Pittsfield Farmers Market, SHOPPING OPEN ONLINE Monday, noon, to Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. or until maximum order limit is reached. Email grace@rootsrising.org or visit rootsrising.org/virtualfarmersmarket and view their new customer guide for more information.

Great Barrington Farmers Market, Church Street, Great Barrington, open Saturdays from 9-10 a.m. (seniors, high risk, and immunocompromised people only), remainder 11 a.m.-1 p.m.: Orders should be placed ahead of time whenever possible (see list of vendors offering preorder HERE). All shoppers must wear mask, families are encouraged to only send one family member to market when possible, no eating at the market, do not attend market if you are sick or have been within the last 14 days ... Lee Farmers Market, Town Park at corner of Main, Housatonic and W. Park Street, Lee, Saturdays, 10 a.m.-2 p.m.: Open May 23-Oct. 10, only selling locally grown produce and prepared foods to start with hopes of adding locally created arts and crafts, and herbal products. There will be no music, bathrooms or picnic tables. MASKS MUST BE WARN, and social distancing protocol must be followed. For more information visit leefarmersmarket.com.

Lenox Farmers Market, 21 Housatonic Street (Ceri Boutique lot), Lenox: Fridays, June 5-Oct. 2, 2-6 p.m. There will be one entrance and one exit with hand-sanitizer at entrance and washing station near the exit. MASKS MUST BE WORN and amount of people in market at one time will be limited. Leashed pets welcome. Please look for signage with rules and requirements. North Adams Farmers Market, MUST PREORDER between Monday, morning-Wednesday, 3 p.m.Deliveries to Adams, North Adams, and Williamstown ($5 fee; free delivery for eligible customers) and pickup on Saturday at AoK Berkshire BBQ courtyard (1061 MASS MoCA Way, North Adams) beginning at noon. EBT/SNAP accepted (must enter EBT code at checkout and show card upon delivery). Sheffield Farmers Market, Old Parish Church, 125 South Main St. (Route 7), Sheffield, May 29 – Oct 9, Fridays, 3-6 p.m.: Shoppers will wait outside entrance as a limited number will be allowed in at one time. MASKS are REQUIRED and will be available for purchase for those who don't have one. One shopper per household when possible. SNAP, WIC and HIP benefits accepted with dollar for dollar match for SNAP. West Stockbridge Farmers Market, The Foundry Green, West Stockbridge, Opened May 28 and runs Thursdays, 3 to 6 p.m.: Currently a "Farmers and Food Producer Only Market" featuring a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, artisanal cheeses, eggs, organic meat, maple syrup, jams, fresh flowers, fudge, bread, baked goods and more. Williamstown Farmers Market, MUST PREORDER between Monday, 10 a.m.-Wednesday 7 p.m.No contact pickup at Williamstown Elementary School (66 School Street, Williamstown) on Saturdays 11 a.m.-1 p.m. and delivery within a 7-mile radius of the market to those unable to access pickup location on Saturday.  Email wtownmarket@gmail.com for help with your order or go online to wfmessentials.org.
