Fall is here and with it comes the harbingers we all know and love — crisp Berkshire mornings, pumpkins, apple picking, cold (or hot!) cider, and of course, apple cider doughnuts.
Bite into one of these sweet treats and alongside the "mmm's" and lip-licking, it's inevitable that you'll ask yourself, "Is this the best apple cider doughnut I've ever had?"
We may not have the answer but we're here with a list to help you make that decision.
Everyone has their own opinion and loyalty. If you're wondering about my personal choice, it's always a Lakeview Orchard doughnut that I go for come fall.
What are the criteria? Just like anything else, it varies by the eater — too cakey, not enough apple. Or are you a purist who likes them plain? Whether you're holding the cinnamon sugar or simply eating your fill before fall ends, here's a list of all the Berkshire businesses whipping up fresh doughnuts for all to enjoy. We'll let you be the judge!
