And Then Comes Summer StoryWalk® at The Mount

with South Berkshire Kids

By Berkshires Macaroni Kid April 14, 2021

South Berkshire Kids and The Mount, Edith Wharton’s Home, welcome you to enjoy a StoryWalk® at The Mount.

Celebrate Summer as you explore the grounds of The Mount! Pages of the children’s book And Here Comes Summer by Tom Brenner will be posted along the Woodland Walk. South Berkshire Kids will be handing out activity bags, geared towards children ages 2-6.

Feel free to roam the rest of the property with your family before or after your walk. Keep in mind that paths at The Mount include uneven terrain and are not always suitable for strollers or people with accessibility concerns.

Please note that upon registration, you will be signing up for a time slot to walk through the story. One ticket registers your entire family. If you cannot make your reservation and need to cancel, please call 413-551-5100, so the space can be opened for another family!

Reservations are only required for Thursday, July 22nd. The story will remain up for the next several weeks, weather permitting.

The main house and Terrace Café will be open on this day, so feel free to visit both before or after your walk. The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library.  Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.

The Mount is a Massachusetts Cultural Council UP designated organization welcoming participants of all disabilities. Please contact The Mount at 413-551-5100 or by email, info@edithwharton.org, to discuss accommodations needed to participate fully in this event.
