Discover Greylock Explorer's Club, Friday, March 20th, 1pm - 3pm, at Mount Greylock State Reservation.
This program features fun, hands-on indoor/outdoor nature-based activities designed for homeschoolers, but open to all kids and families ages 8 and older. Themed activities may include Finding Your Way Map & Compass Orienteering, Tree and animal tracks identification and a variety of games geared toward understanding the natural and cultural environment. This program offers an ideal opportunity for children to expand their outdoor skills while exploring the amazing landscapes around them. Program will be primarily outdoors weather permitting. Younger siblings are also welcome.
Program duration is 2 hours. Meet at the Visitor Center. All Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Participants should be prepared for variable late winter weather, dress in warm layers and wear sturdy waterproof footware. Trekking poles and traction devices for boots (or snowshoes) are recommended. Bring water and a snack or lunch. Inclement weather cancels.
