Winter Fun at the Clark PLUS 3 Months of Free Admission

Have you heard?! Admission to the Clark is free from January through March 2025. In addition, be sure to check out these great programs coming up in January! 


First Sunday Free: It's Teatime!, Sunday, January 5th, 1-4 p.m., Celebrate the beginning of a new year with art, community, and the warmth of a fresh cup of tea. Indulging in the coziness of winter through shared food and drink is a practice that is reflected in many of the artworks in the Clark’s collection. Bring your family members or friends to an all-ages, educator-led tour exploring tea-related objects at 2 pm. Then, learn more about the production and cultural significance of tea in a 3 pm guided tour led by Kathleen Morris, Sylvia and Leonard Marx Director of Collections and Exhibitions and curator of decorative arts. Throughout the afternoon, enjoy tea tastings with Heart’s Pace, a North Adams, Massachusetts-based tea and healing arts lounge. As always, enjoy fun themed art-making activities and other exciting surprises during this free afternoon at the Clark! Free.

See how membership transforms your visit and supports the heart of the Clark’s work as a center for art and inspiration! Registration is not required.

Start with Art: Storytelling, Saturday, January 11th, 10am-12p.m., Bring your preschoolers to the Clark for a morning of art, play, and exploration! This program, specially designed for three- to six-year-olds and their caregivers, includes fun art-making activities and interactive artwork talks. Not sure how to engage with art? Pick up one of our Start with Art gallery guides and explore the museum—where you and your little ones can discover paintings, sculptures, and more! Free.

Williamstown Synth Fest, Saturday, January 11th, 6-8:30pm, Join us for an evening of immersive audiovisual performances featuring electronic musicians from Western Massachusetts and Upstate New York, presented in collaboration with the New England Synth Fest.

Experience the transformation of the Clark’s Michael Conforti Pavilion as artists hissquiet, NXOR, Michael William Gilbert, OrangePeelMystic, and Architrave blend dynamic electronic soundscapes with vivid projections, pulsing light displays, and real-time animations. The evening promises a fresh glimpse into the world of contemporary audiovisual art.

Synthesizer Petting Zoo
Interact with an array of synthesizers at our synthesizer petting zoo! Bring your own headphones (with 1/4″ jacks or 1/8″ adapters) to experiment and create your own sounds.

Free. The performances will be seated, but visitors are encouraged to wander, explore the Synthesizer Petting Zoo, and enjoy the evening’s evolving atmosphere.
