If you or someone you know is suffering from postpartum anxiety or depression, get help. You can visit postpartum.net for a 24 hour helpline, lists of therapists, and tons of resources. If it is an emergency, seek immediate help. Reach out to the moms in your life: soon to be moms, moms with newborns, toddler moms.
Connect, engage, ask them how they are. If you need tips for talking about postpartum, you can find those on postpartum.net too.
1. Postpartum Support International
Need someone to talk to now? Call 1-800-944-4773 or text "help" to the same number.
This website is a wealth of information on all things postpartum as well as finding support. Postpartum Support International also offers support groups 5 days a week virtually with over 30 different specialties to connect with other women like you.
2. Watch Now: Slaying the Monstrous Misconceptions about Postpartum Psychosis
Join Postpartum Support International for a 90 minute round table for anyone that wants to learn more about Postpartum Psychosis. The webinar is open to clinicians, media, family members, and the general public. You will hear from advocates with lived expertise of Postpartum Psychosis. You can watch the webinar here.
3. Save the Date: Berkshire Parents Collective Support Groups
Join Berkshire Parents Collective for a Moms Support Group on Wednesday, February 1st from noon to 1:30 p.m. at 399 Main St. in Dalton. Berkshire Parents Collective offers a safe space for you to become the parent you want to be. Follow them on Instagram for upcoming groups.
4. It Takes A Village Peer-to-Peer Support
Located in Huntington, MA, It Takes A Village offers a safe, judgement-free space for all parents and caregivers. Join the Parent Chat on Mondays from 10:30 to 12 p.m., at the Corner House in Ashfield. Everyone is welcome. Group facilitators are skilled in helping families find extra support when needed. Please know that Parent Groups are not a substitute for professional medical and mental health services. If you feel like you are having a mental health emergency, please call or text the 24/7 helpline at 877-870-4673.
5. Movement, Healing & Well-Being with LifeWorks Studio
Every Wednesday, at 2 p.m., join momma’s and their children to talk about experiences, joys and troubles, and anything else on your mind! LifeWorks Studio is located in Great Barrington. This group is free and supported through donations.
