The Hinsdale Community Weekend will be held on July 19 - 21, 2024 in Hinsdale, MA at the Hinsdale Fire Department (located at 95 Maple Street) and surrounding areas. Admission is Free for All Events!
Friday, July 19th:
• Movie Night at the Wayne Walton Pavilion behind the Fire Department for a movie under the stars beginning at dusk (sunset at 8:24pm). Watch “Finding Nemo” with family and friends. Free popcorn and soda for sale will be available.
Saturday, July 22nd:
• The Hinsdale Fire Department will be holding an Open House throughout the day (1-8 pm).
• The Roger’s Rangers & The Hinsdales colonial reenactment encampment will also be on display all day (Saturday and Sunday). Participate in activities and games across the street at the First Congregational Church, make a Plushy Pal, have your face painted and more…
• Come enjoy the Night CruZers sponsored Cruise-in from 1-4 pm adjacent to the Fire Department (95 Maple St.). Dash plaques for the first 50 cars, Choice Awards and 50/50 raffle.
• Stay for the bands as “Full Burn” plays 4-5:30 pm, followed by “Shyne” from 6-7:30 pm
• Ozzie’s Food Truck and Krispy Cones Ice Cream will be on site to keep you well fed while you enjoy the festivities throughout the day.
Sunday, July 21st: Firemen’s Muster and Parade
• The day begins at Noon with a parade of fire apparatus around town. Then watch the fire fighters compete in the Firemen’s Muster. SPAAMFAA Antique Fire Apparatus will also be on display.
• Hinsdale Fire Department will be serving Hotdogs and Hamburgers. Krispy Cones will be on site with ice cream for dessert.
PARKING:
• Handicap drop-off will also be available at the front of Kittredge School (Maple St.) for each day of the events.
• General Parking will be available at town hall.
• Limited parking will be available on nearby side streets and on the lawn behind Ozzie’s Restaurant on Saturday and Sunday.
• A free shuttle from the gazebo near Ozzie’s to Kittredge School, and back, will be available Saturday (12:30-8:30 pm)
Please note: No Alcohol is allowed on Friday and Saturday’s events and will not be available for purchase. Police will be enforcing this and we kindly request that you please leave the alcohol home so that we will be able to continue providing you with family friendly events like this in the future.
