Berkshire County Head Start (BCHS) is MORE than just childcare. Established in 1976, BCHS is a comprehensive early childhood program providing education, health, and special education services to children and their families. They service ALL of Berkshire County with six sites in Great Barrington, Pittsfield, and North Adams. On a mission to enhance opportunities for success by inspiring each child’s love of learning, partnering with families, advocating for equity, and fostering a connection to community, BCHS takes a holistic approach to child development, addressing not only educational needs but also health, nutrition, and social services. This comprehensive approach ensures that children receive the support they need to thrive in all areas of their lives.
