Our year-round, full-week program is open to children from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The ECC is housed within Hevreh of Southern Berkshire, a Reform Jewish synagogue, and is open to the community at large. Our ECC is approved to accept payment through childcare vouchers and there is also some tuition assistance available to families through a number of scholarships.

Early childhood experiences provide the foundation for a child’s lifetime. Our play-based, emergent curriculum fosters exploration and cultivates children’s natural curiosity. By providing opportunities for children to grow and to explore, we seek to spark the “I wonder” and “Aha” moments that are so valuable in a child’s development. We provide the framework to encourage exploration and then take our lead from the child based on their interests and interactions to extend the learning. This child-centered approach allows us to encourage children’s natural curiosity by providing children the opportunity to wonder, explore, and seek answers. Strengthening social and emotional skills is a significant component of our curriculum. The characteristics that help create strong family ties - love, trust, time spent together, communication, appreciation for one another, healthy limits, and more love - are the very same traits we seek to foster within our classroom community. Our teachers are instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation of our curriculum. We have robust teacher to student ratios, ensuring that children receive lots of attention.
