First Day Hike (Lanesborough)

Description

Join friends, neighbors and DCR State Park staff for a guided First Day Hike at Mount Greylock State Reservation! This program is free, open to the public and recommended for ages 7 and older.
Hike an easy to moderate 2 miles (90-120 minutes) on the Bradley Farm Trail. Explore remnants of an old orchard, farmland, forest succession and perhaps see evidence of wildlife!
Be prepared for cold weather: dress in layers and wear winter boots. If conditions permit, bring snowshoes and hiking poles. Dogs are welcome on a 10 foot maximum leash.
There will be TWO OPPORTUNITIES for First Day Hikes this year. The first hike of the day starts promptly at 9:30 am. The second hike starts at 12:30 pm. Both hikes meet at the Mount Greylock State Reservation Visitor Center, 30 Rockwell Road in Lanesborough, MA.

PLEASE NOTE: SPACE IS LIMITED to 25 people per hike.
