Stay Warm, Stay Healthy, & Enjoy Some Family Fun in the Berkshires

A note from your publisher

By Taylor Staubach, Publisher, Berkshires Macaroni Kid January 5, 2022

Phew, what a whirlwind of a year that was huh? And such a weird time to jump in as your new publisher at Berkshires Macaroni Kid. With so many in-person events canceled due to the pandemic, I spent a good amount of my early months just trawling the interwebs for virtual things for you and your families to do. Frustrating as it was, it gave me time (and much-needed practice) as I eased into this new role of mine. And as things began to open back up, I can't explain the joy I felt looking at the MacKid Event Calendar filled up to the brim.

Cut to 2022 and it seems like we're teetering on the edge of...well, grim. But I'm choosing to stay optimistic! There's still plenty to do, winter brings snow (eventually!), and there's nothing like the Berkshires in the winter. So bring it on 2022, we're ready for ya!

This week I'm still working hard to find local happenings and good news to make this week's newsletter both helpful and fun. Here's what I've got for you:

  • Our Top 10 MacKid Picks for the Weekend — some that'll get you out & about, whatever the winter weather!
  • Berkshire Yogi extraordinaire Mya Richards is sharing why her Kids' Yoga Class might be the calming tonic for your Sunday morning.
  • A list of Outdoor Winter Fun Ideas — who knows, there may be something on there you haven't tried yet!
  • The return of BerkCirque's popular Circus classes (P.S. They're a great place to book an indoor birthday.)
  • Finally, I've got a few things to help kick off the family fun for 2022 — A Berkshire Bucket List

Here's to the new year! And to you and your family staying healthy, so you get out there and experience all the fun the Berkshires has to offer.
