o kick off the holiday season, parents and faculty transform the school into a winter wonderland of family fun including puppet shows, horse drawn hayrides, face painting, jump rope making, candle dipping, and other gifts to make and give, celebrating the joys of a handmade holiday in the Berkshires. Rain or shine.
Playtime at the Fair—Berkshire Waldorf School Early Childhood faculty will perform a puppet play featuring handcrafted puppets, “The Golden River,” with performances at 10:30 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Other highlights include the children’s craft room where youngsters can make presents themselves, a very special cakewalk with live musicians, maple sugar cotton candy, and the Pocket Wizard, whose many pockets are filled with small gifts.
Treats for All Ages—Adults will revel in the premium local goods and services at the Holiday Handcraft Fair’s Silent Auction and have a chance to win a $1000 gift card from local food purveyors Guido’s or the Berkshire Coop. The Berkshire Country Store stocks one-of-a-kind gifts and gourmet treats, and the cafe serves lunch, warm drinks, and homemade desserts. All Fair proceeds benefit the programs and students of the Berkshire Waldorf School.
